This is JASON FYLES and he goes to my university (Newcastle University, North East of England) He is 19 years old, 5’8, ginger hair and slim. He was last seen in the Sandyford area at 2:45am on Thursday morning and has not been seen since. He was wearing a blue shirt, grey cardigan, beige chinos and brown ankle boots. Everyone in uni is so worried about him along with his family and friends. We are coming together as a university to appeal for his safe return. PLEASE. Nobody reblogged my own post on this which I posted an hour or so ago so I’m wondering if nobody will now. This guy is my friend. If I have ever sent you a nice ask or reblogged something of yours and it made you happy for a second (or even if I haven’t; this is about helping him, not doing me a favour) for God’s sake just help now, help to find my friend Jason. You want me to make him human to you?

• Once we all grew beans in pots as part of a Biology experiment- the experiment failed miserably and made the whole lab stink, but his was the only bean that grew and he was actually pretty proud about it
• He learned to knit as part of a school project where he had to learn a creative skill, and when a couple of people teased him about it he said “gender is a social construct” and carried on knitting like a badass
• He loves the scene in The Great Gatsby where Gatsby throws all his silk shirts around and he and I used to giggle over it together
• Once I asked him if he had a string of tinsel I could use in a photoshoot and he brought me a big cardboard box full of tinsel and fairy lights because he’s a helpful and lovely guy

He’s HUMAN and he needs our HELP and just PLEASE PLEASE FUCKING REBLOG THIS??? He’s been missing for four days now- when he went missing he would have been wearing his contact lenses and he won’t have had his (very thick) glasses with him so by now he’ll have had to take his contacts out and throw them away and he won’t be able to see well and oh God just please signal boost this

Cries because I have most perfect idea for a plush EVER for my River/Ripley and I don’t have the skill/materials/time for it.

Seriously, how awesesome would it be for me to make a John Hurt!Doctor with a chesburster instead of a Matt Smith!Doctor with the same? Movie references for the win!

On my phone, so I don’t know how to put a ‘read more’ on this post. You have been warned! Also, typos abound.

I have to say I’m really not looking forward to the season finale for a number of reasons. I just don’t think they’re going to do a very good job with it. Most of the episodes have been really terrible, and really not enjoyable at all (see: ‘Cold War’).

The rest of the season hasn’t really felt like it’s been connected beyond having Clara be the companion. I kno they’ve only had 5 episodes to work with, but a skilled writer could have come up with something. the first half didn’t feel connected either, to be fair. With this new preview, it seems like they’re just shoving elements into it from other episodes just for some sort of connection. I don’t like it at all.

I’m also disappointed with how Clara has been written. She’s had some fantstic moments, to be sure, but for the most part, she’s just been “there,” with very little in the way of character development. At least she hasn’t completely fallen into the “Damsel in Distres” trope.  Again, only five episode but still.

I have to say I didn’t think I would ship Whouffle at all, but in a very one-sided way, it works. I actually like the fact that Clara isn’t as head over heels for the Doctor as he is for her, and it would actually be nice if he rejected him romantically. Also, love triangle with unconventional resolution? (Doctor/Clara/River?) The shipper in me says yes.

As an addendum, however, the Doctor’s relationship with Clara is a bit on the creepy side. Clara addressed it once, which is nice, but the man is obsessed with her, and it’s not treated as any sort of wrong. VAstra and Jenny were a bit concerned, but it was just brushed away.

My biggest beef is with what they’re covering, specifically. You can’t spend just one episode on his freaking name, the thing that is his greatest, darkest secret, and expect the episode to be great. You really, really can’t. A special that could be longer? Maybe. A finale that’s standard length? Absolutely not. The fall (haha) finale was okay, which further fuels this belief. DW staff, STAHP.

personally, I don’t even want to find out his name.What I would like, however, is if his name was like a lock for the Time War, which would open it under special circumstances. That would make a fantastic lead into the next season/special/whatever.

This was recorded by the Portsmouth Sinfonia in an experiment where all the members of the orchestra would swap instruments with each other and attempt to play them to the best of their ability.
